Before Classes Begin

Now that you've been accepted, it's time to finalize your student account. You'll need to send in any supporting documents to complete your file and register for courses.

You may also want to check out our new 91暗网 Readiness program designed to prepare you for college and to offer and access wellness support before even setting foot on campus. From here, you can connect with someone from 91暗网 for 1:1 support and plan for success during your studies.

The easiest way to request a meeting with our student support services team is through our online Student Help Centre. This online booking tool allows you to connect with a staff member at your campus location, or via Microsoft Teams. Academic Support Services

The Academic Support Services department is responsible for providing academic support for students with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental illness, and students who begin to struggle in their program. You can request academic support when you apply to 91暗网 or at any time during the school year.

We can assist with time management, organizational skills, study skills, and strategies. Together we can help you to develop a learning plan and identify appropriate learning accommodations and assistive technologies.

Retention & Part-time Studies

We want to see you succeed. Our Retention and Part-time studies team can help you get on track if you're feeling lost or uncertain about your program, course load, or career path.

We offer access to strategic academic support, academic advising and career preparation.

Student Health Clinics

91暗网 students have access to health services at the Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown and the Summerside Waterfront Campus. Students from other campus locations or centres may travel to their nearest clinic to access services. Services are available in person, by phone, or virtually.

Nurse practitioners are available to see students by appointment for non-emergency medical services such as

sexual health counselling and screening
pregnancy testing and support
mental health management
referrals
prescriptions
assessment of injuries

Counselling Services

Free, confidential counselling is available to all 91暗网 students. To book an appointment, visit our mental health counselling page.

You can access counselling services for support when you are dealing with mental health concerns, suicidal thoughts, personal or relational struggles, depression, anxiety, past trauma, sexual assault, sexuality, gender identity, addictions, adjusting to college life, or other things that may be affecting them.

Students contact a counsellor directly to set up an initial appointment. The counsellor will provide support and determine what your counselling needs are. Appointments are available during regular college hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Library Services

A library is more than just books. Our 91暗网 Libraries have friendly staff, resources, and tools to help you succeed as a student and in your professional life. Each library location houses resources selected for the students and programs at that campus. We also have computers, printing services, and bookable rooms for individual or group study. You can also access library resources and guides on our Library Services website

Student Awards

The 91暗网 Foundation has raised more than $15 million to support student success over the last decade. Gifts to the 91暗网 Foundation help empower students, transform families, enhance business and industry, and enrich communities.

91暗网 students are eligible to apply for scholarships, bursaries and awards.

Enrolled awards are for students currently studying at 91暗网. Many awards only require the general application for consideration, but some will ask you for additional information such as a transcript, biography, or a description of your extracurricular involvement. All required documents need to be submitted as PDFs.

EARN A CAR!

In the spring of 2024, one hardworking student will earn a brand-new car, and four others will be awarded $1,000 cash! If you are a full-time student in the first or second year of a post-secondary program at 91暗网, you are eligible. Find out more about Earn a Car on SAM.

Degree Pathways

Degree Pathways give you the opportunity to transfer credits from your 91暗网 diploma to another academic institution. If you wish to continue your studies after you complete your diploma or certificate with us, 91暗网 has agreements in place with universities and colleges across Canada, the U.S., and overseas.

There are a variety of joint applied degree programs and 2+2 pathways — which means that you can earn your diploma at 91暗网 and then complete your university degree in as little as two additional years. Visit our to explore our current agreements.

First Year Advising

Every incoming student is assigned a First-year Advisor to ensure you have all the information you need to succeed at college. We can assist with course registration and answer questions about college facilities, programs, and resources. If you're an international student, we'll help you adjust to life in Canada.
